Middlesex uni is hiring a MA Global Governance and Sustainable Development – Part-time Lecture in Ajman. This is a full-time position.

A university in the UAE needs a faculty member to teach postgraduate courses in governance and sustainable development. This full time role is open to academics and practitioners with deep knowledge in one or more of the following subjects: Global Governance for Sustainable Development, Migration Debates and Governance, Cities and Sustainable Development, or Sustainable Development and Human Rights. You will deliver high quality teaching and contribute to knowledge transfer. Your goal is to enhance student experience and outcomes. If you have excellent academic qualifications in governance, sustainability, politics, international relations, or a related field, this role suits you. Evidence of competence through teaching or practice is required.

Key Responsibilities for MA Global Governance and Sustainable Development

• Deliver high quality teaching to students at postgraduate level

• Identify best and innovative practices in learning and teaching

• Build these practices into your personal teaching approach

• Ensure your research, knowledge, or field experience informs your teaching

• Contribute actively to initiatives that promote new teaching and learning practices

• Promote these practices across the faculty and institution

• Enhance student experience and learning outcomes

• Provide academic advice and counselling to students

• Liaise closely with teaching, technical, and administrative staff

• Help maintain a quality teaching and learning environment

Qualifications

Ability to teach one or more of the following subjects:

• • Global Governance for Sustainable Development

  • Migration: Debates and Governance

  • Cities and Sustainable Development

  • Sustainable Development and Human Rights

• Excellent academic qualifications in governance, sustainability, politics, international relations, or a related field

• Evidence of competence in these fields through teaching or practice

• High level of written, oral, and interpersonal skills

• Desirable: Ability to teach more than one of the listed subjects

• Desirable: A publication record supporting competence in any of the above fields
