A college in the UAE needs a Faculty member to teach Business Analytics. This full time role involves advancing the curriculum and ensuring industry relevance. You will teach in an applied, student centric learning environment. You must respect each student’s culture and traditions. In addition to teaching, you will help meet the division’s research goals. You will use research activities to inform your teaching. You will also develop students’ analytical and problem solving skills. If you hold a PhD or a master degree with a professional certification and five years of teaching and industry experience, this role suits you.

Key Responsibilities for Faculty

• Teach business analytics courses using a practical, applied approach

• Align your teaching with course syllabi and program goals

• Meet the needs and aspirations of students and the community

• Develop and use educational technology resources

• Ensure effective and innovative instruction methods

• Give students continuous feedback through tests, projects, and assignments

• Take a student centered approach and offer individual assistance

• Solve student issues quickly with the program supervisor and other staff

• Monitor student progress and support success

• Evaluate students and update grades on time

• Contribute to question banks and coursework assessments

• Advance the business analytics curriculum to meet accreditation standards

• Use research activities to inform your teaching

• Serve as a student advisor when assigned

• Provide recommendations on at risk action plans

• Participate in academic and extracurricular events on campus and in the community

• Help develop system wide and directorate specific policies

• Complete any other duties your supervisor assigns

Qualifications

• PhD or master degree with a professional certification in business analytics or a related field

• Five years of teaching and industry experience

• Appropriate academic and professional qualifications

• A minimum of five years of relevant industry experience is preferred

• Experience developing course curriculum to meet accreditation and international standards

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Commitment to student centered, applied learning
