Taaleem is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a classroom environment. This full time role helps create an engaging and inclusive space for young learners. You will work under the guidance of the class teacher. Your goal is to meet the educational and developmental needs of all children. You will work with students individually or in small groups. In addition, you will help record learning evidence and follow Individual Education Plans. The school values safeguarding and child welfare. Key Responsibilities for Assistante Maternelle Primary, Prep, & Secondary School Dubai, UAE

• Work with students individually or in small groups. Follow the instructions of the class teacher or specialist teachers. Support groups of students in the classroom. Help them access the curriculum effectively.
• Be proactive in your approach to learning. Collaborate with the teacher to adapt strategies when needed. This will help facilitate better learning outcomes.
• Support the recording and presentation of learning evidence. Follow established work programmes for students. Help them achieve defined goals, either individually or in groups.
• Contribute to the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of children. Help staff with small administrative tasks when not working directly with students. For example, photocopying, filing, and completing records.
• Prepare and tidy up general resources as needed. Note relevant information in Individual Education Plans. Provide verbal or written feedback to the class teacher. This supports report writing, assessments, and IEPs.
• Accompany children on school trips. Read, understand, and follow all trip procedures. Supervise students during break times, including before and after school if required. Finally, communicate professionally with parents to support the school’s reputation.

Qualifications

You need a minimum secondary level education in English and Mathematics. A university degree is an asset. Experience or aptitude for working with students is required. Previous experience as a teaching assistant is an advantage. You must have professional proficiency in written and spoken English. Enthusiasm and a genuine enjoyment for working with children are essential. Good teamwork skills and the ability to take initiative are also important.
