The Arbor School Dubai is hiring a Physics Teacher, Secondary KG4 Physics, Combined Science & KG3 General Science The Arbor School Dubai in Dubai. This is a full-time position.
The Arbor School is seeking a highly motivated Teacher of Physics to join its secondary Science department. This full time role involves teaching KG4 Physics and Combined Science, as well as KG3 General Science. If you are an experienced educator with a passion for physics and a proven track record of securing outstanding GCSE results, this position offers a unique opportunity. You will work in a school with a very different vision of education, one that is experiential, authentic, and inspired by the natural beauty and ecological challenges of the Arabian Peninsula. The department currently has four science teachers, a full time lab technician, and four brand new well equipped laboratories.
Key Responsibilities for Physics Teacher, Secondary KG4 Physics, Combined Science & KG3 General Science The Arbor School Dubai
- Teach Physics at KG4 level and Combined Science across secondary years. Also teach General Science to KG3 students. Plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge students of all abilities.
- Follow the school’s ecological and sustainability vision, integrating real world environmental contexts into your science teaching. Help students understand the interconnected nature of ecological and human communities.
- Prepare students for GCSE and IGCSE examinations. Maintain a track record of outstanding student outcomes. Assess progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
- Create a caring and nurturing classroom environment where every student feels supported to achieve their potential. Use the four brand new laboratories effectively for practical work.
- Collaborate with the science team of four teachers and the lab technician. Participate in the wider life of the school, bringing your passions and interests to enrich the community.
- Communicate proactively with parents and colleagues, assuming positive intent. Finally, meet agreed deadlines and contribute to a resilient, stable, and creative team culture.
Qualifications
You need native level English language skills. A bachelor degree in Physics or a similar subject is essential, plus a PGCE in Education with QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification. A minimum of three years of experience teaching science in the UK or a reputable British school overseas is required. You must have a track record of outstanding GCSE results and outstanding teaching and learning.
