If you are an experienced educator with a passion for physics and a proven track record of securing outstanding GCSE results, this position offers a unique opportunity. You will work in a school with a very different vision of education, one that is experiential, authentic, and inspired by the natural beauty and ecological challenges of the Arabian Peninsula. The department currently has four science teachers, a full time lab technician, and four brand new well equipped laboratories.
The Arbor School opened in 2018 with a vision of education that is experiential, authentic, and inspired by nature. The school is committed to understanding and restoring the health of ecological and human communities. The cultivation of a learning community requires optimism, ambition, and humility. You need native level English language skills. A bachelor degree in Physics or a similar subject is essential, plus a PGCE in Education with QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification. A minimum of three years of experience teaching science in the UK or a reputable British school overseas is required. The school looks for candidates who can create a caring, nurturing classroom environment and who share a commitment to sustainability and holistic education.
The monthly tax free salary for this Physics Teacher role ranges from 12000 to 18000 AED depending on experience and qualifications. A competitive compensation package will be provided in accordance with the school’s policy and UAE labour law regulations. Additional benefits include working in a brand new, well equipped science department, a supportive and inclusive community, and the chance to be part of a school with a unique ecological vision. Teachers enjoy authentic friendships with colleagues and positive relationships with school leaders who care for their wellbeing.
