Looking for Senior Financial Analyst jobs in Dubai? Abbott Laboratories is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst for the MEAP and TR/CIS region to join its Established Pharmaceutical division in Dubai, UAE. Additionally, this is a strategic FP&A role offering exposure to international financial planning across emerging markets.
About the Role
As a Senior Financial Analyst at Abbott Laboratories, you will own and deliver the monthly Sales and P&L forecast, quarterly rolling forecast, and critical performance analysis across multiple affiliate markets in the MEAP region. Furthermore, you will provide critical analysis of performance drivers including price, volume, mix, and cost while explaining variances and proactively highlighting implications for business decisions. Moreover, this position reports within the Established Pharmaceutical division, which is committed to bringing trusted branded generic medicines to the world’s fastest-growing countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly Sales and P&L forecast including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Currency Exchange analysis
- Support and coordinate FP&A reporting activities for the monthly financial close with accurate and consistent reporting
- Coordinate the quarterly rolling forecast process by consolidating affiliate inputs and challenging key assumptions
- Perform analytical review and validation of results, explaining key variances versus forecast, budget, and prior periods
- Manage the yearly manufacturing cost change cycle with the FP&A Hub and all relevant stakeholders
- Enhance support from HQ to affiliates on dashboards, systems, and FP&A processes
- Ensure constant coaching, training, corrections, and feedback to align teams with expected standards and timelines
- Prepare clear, concise, and insight-driven presentations to support leadership decision-making
- Drive process streamlining and identify opportunities to standardize workflows and save time
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field is required
- MBA or professional finance qualification such as CFA or CMA is a plus
- Minimum 5+ years of FP&A experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
- Experience supporting international and emerging markets is a strong advantage
- Proven exposure to commercial FP&A, repeated forecasting cycles, and business partnering roles
- Advanced skills in Excel and financial modeling with experience in SAP, BPC, or similar ERP systems
- Strong stakeholder management, leadership, communication, and presentation skills
