About the Role

The Research Fellow will develop prognostic and diagnostic techniques for rotating machinery, working closely with industrial partners on real-world data from existing vessels. Furthermore, you will establish a distinctive research programme and disseminate results through regular publications in high-impact journals. Moreover, this role involves managing research teams, supervising students, and developing knowledge exchange activities that inform departmental teaching and industrial best practices.

Key Responsibilities for Research Fellow in Predictive Analytics at University of Strathclyde Business School UAE Abu Dhabi

• Pursue and establish an independent, high-quality research programme in predictive analytics
• Develop predictive models and anomaly detection systems for rotating asset health
• Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings
• Apply for research funding as Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator
• Manage research teams including staff and postgraduate students
• Develop external research collaborations with industry and academic partners
• Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching as appropriate
• Support the development of proof-of-concept tools for data-driven maintenance
• Carry out departmental administrative and management functions
• Engage in continuous professional development activities

Requirements

• PhD in an appropriate discipline such as engineering, data science, or computer science
• Strong track record of published research in high-quality peer-reviewed journals
• Expertise in condition monitoring, data science, and artificial intelligence
• Experience in predictive modelling, pattern analysis, and AI algorithm implementation
• Ability to develop research proposals and attract external funding
• Experience in supervising research students and leading research teams
• Security clearance (SC) eligibility is essential for this post
