Role of Research Associate

An Enthusiastic Researcher will join a Collaborative team lead by faculty from Department of Integrative Agriculture. He will conduct and assist in Research projects. Evaluate results and Publish them.

Responsibilities of Research Associate

• Experiment on New products, tests, and Methodological Instruments. Reports to the Principal Investigator relative to Feasibility, Quality, and Benefits of such new Developments.
• Adapt procedures or methods relative to changes in Study projects.
• Design and Implement study protocols & safety procedures.
• Collate and Analyze complex data. Maintains Microcomputer database.

What you’ll do

• Summarize completed protocols and studies.
• Write Scientific Articles and Manuscripts for Publication and Presentation.
• Supervise junior Associates, graduate students, and student workers in Research.
• Prepare Analytical reports relative to research data.
• Monitor progress of projects and Coordinate information between Departmental sections.
• Perform a wide and complex variety of assays, test, and studies.
• Perform highly Specialized and Advanced experiments.
• Collect, Prepare, Analyze, and Evaluate specimens and/or tissue cultures.

Education & Experience

• Master’s Degree in Plant science/ Horticulture or related discipline.
• Experience in plant or Horticultural crops study.
• Preferably experience in Biofertilizers, Biopesticides and Nano Fertilizers Applications.

Knowledge & Skills

• Green house and Lab Techniques.
• Skills involved working with different Crop Production systems & Plant growth follow up.
• Knowledge of Plant tissue culture/ Microbial Analysis Techniques and the Physiological mechanism for regulating these processes.
• Ability to work Independently in the field/ Greenhouse and Laboratory.
• Very good writing skills (Scientific article), Excel, Statistical Analysis Software & Data analysis.
