About the Role
The Registered Nurse at Al Zahra Hospital Dubai is responsible for assessing client needs, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualised nursing care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team. Furthermore, the role involves delivering safe, evidence-based nursing care that aligns with AZHD policies and DHA standards. Moreover, the nurse will direct ancillary personnel and ensure the highest quality of patient care across the clinical unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for each patient in line with individual needs and hospital standards.
- Perform nursing care in response to patient needs, supported by current nursing knowledge and reflective practice.
- Ensure nursing practice is carried out in accordance with AZHD policies, procedures, and clinical standards.
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times through effective and evidence-based work practices.
- Maintain current knowledge and competency in clinical practice through continuous professional development.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care.
- Document patient assessments, care plans, interventions and outcomes accurately in the EMR system.
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the treating physician and charge nurse promptly.
- Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Perform other job-related duties and unit-based competencies as assigned by the unit manager.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Nursing programme of a minimum duration of three (3) years, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Current valid nursing registration in country of training and/or country of last employment.
- Valid Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Nursing License or eligibility to obtain one.
- Minimum 2 years of post-graduate clinical nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems is an advantage.
