About the Role
The Registered Nurse at Al Zahra Hospital Dubai will be responsible for delivering safe, high-quality nursing care to patients in line with established clinical protocols and DHA regulations. Furthermore, the role involves conducting thorough patient assessments and coordinating care delivery with the wider healthcare team. Moreover, the nurse will play an active role in patient education and family support throughout the treatment journey, ensuring a compassionate and positive hospital experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualised nursing care plans.
- Implement and evaluate nursing interventions based on evidence-based practice and AZHD standards.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments while adhering to safe medication management policies.
- Accurately document all patient care activities and clinical observations in the EMR system.
- Observe and report changes in patient status to the charge nurse and treating physician without delay.
- Coordinate with the multidisciplinary team including physicians, physiotherapists, and dietitians.
- Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families at all times.
- Participate in ward rounds, handovers, and nursing education sessions as required.
- Maintain cleanliness, infection control, and patient safety standards across the unit.
- Contribute to performance improvement activities and quality initiatives within the department.
Requirements
- Nursing Diploma or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited programme (minimum 3 years).
- Active registration with the nursing council in country of training and/or last employment.
- Current or eligible DHA Nursing License (Dubai Health Authority).
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in an acute care or hospital setting post-qualification.
- Excellent patient assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
- Team-oriented professional with a compassionate approach to patient care.
