About the Role
The Registered Nurse at Al Zahra Hospital Dubai plays a vital role in delivering compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to a diverse patient population. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating care across disciplines, supporting patients and families through their clinical journey, and maintaining the highest standards of nursing documentation. Moreover, the nurse will contribute actively to the hospital’s culture of continuous quality improvement and patient safety excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough nursing assessments and formulate individualised care plans on admission and throughout the patient’s stay.
- Carry out nursing care and interventions as planned and in accordance with AZHD clinical protocols.
- Administer medications accurately and safely following DHA-approved medication management policies.
- Monitor, document, and report patient clinical progress using the hospital’s EMR system.
- Liaise effectively with physicians, pharmacists, physiotherapists, and other allied health staff.
- Uphold infection prevention and control measures across all clinical activities.
- Provide patient and family education on health conditions, treatment, and self-care after discharge.
- Participate in handover processes, ensuring continuity and safety of patient care between shifts.
- Support and supervise junior nurses and healthcare assistants within the clinical unit.
- Engage in ward audits, clinical competencies, and mandatory training programmes.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution (minimum 3-year programme).
- Active professional registration with the nursing regulatory body in country of training or last employment.
- Valid DHA (Dubai Health Authority) Nursing License, or eligibility to apply for DHA licensure.
- Minimum 2 years of post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting.
- Strong interpersonal and clinical communication skills in English.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural clinical team.
