About the Role
The Healthcare Assistant at Harley Street Medical Centre will work alongside registered nurses and clinical staff, providing essential support to ensure the smooth delivery of patient care services. Furthermore, the role involves assisting with day-to-day patient care activities, maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment, and contributing to the overall comfort and wellbeing of patients. Moreover, the successful candidate will demonstrate a compassionate, professional attitude and a genuine commitment to delivering excellent standards of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist registered nurses and clinical staff in delivering direct patient care
- Support patients with daily activities including mobility, personal hygiene, and nutrition
- Monitor and record patient observations such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the clinical environment
- Prepare clinical areas and equipment prior to patient procedures or consultations
- Respond promptly and professionally to patient requests and concerns
- Assist with the transportation of patients within the facility as required
- Contribute to stock management and replenishment of clinical supplies
- Support administrative duties including patient documentation under supervision
- Promote a safe, respectful, and patient-centred environment at all times
Requirements
- Relevant qualification or certification in healthcare assistance, nursing support, or equivalent
- Prior experience in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare environment (preferred)
- Basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain upon joining
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English
- Compassionate, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a clinical team
- Ability to meet the physical demands of a healthcare assistant role
