Looking for Registered Nurse School Nurse jobs in Abu Dhabi? Via Medica International Healthcare is hiring a qualified Registered Nurse for a School Nurse role in Abu Dhabi, UAE. About the Role
The Registered Nurse – School Nurse will provide comprehensive clinical care, health assessments, and wellness programmes to students and school staff within Abu Dhabi’s education sector. Moreover, this role requires the ability to manage a wide range of health issues independently, from minor injuries and routine medications to emergency first aid and chronic condition management. Furthermore, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, academic staff, parents, and the wider school community to promote a safe and healthy school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care and health assessments to students and school staff as needed
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and prescribed treatments as per DOH guidelines
- Maintain accurate medical, health, and immunisation records for all students
- Monitor student health, growth, and developmental milestones throughout the academic year
- Deliver health education sessions and age-appropriate wellness programmes for students
- Support school staff with guidance on health, safety, first aid, and emergency procedures
- Manage and refer serious or complex medical cases to appropriate healthcare facilities
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, teachers, and parents to support student wellbeing
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a relevant setting
- Valid DOH / HAAD License or DOH Passer status
- Paediatric or school nursing experience is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of UAE healthcare regulations and DOH standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and staff
- BLS / ALS certifications are an advantage
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage
