Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government is hiring a Programmer – Corporate Communication and Marketing – (26000975) Dubai in Dubai. This is a full-time position.

The Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government needs a skilled web programmer to build, update, and protect its main website and related online platforms. This full time role is based in Dubai and is open only to UAE nationals. If you hold a bachelor degree in computer science and have three or more years of hands on experience with PHP, ASP.NET, and JavaScript, this job gives you a chance to work on meaningful public sector projects. You will not just write code. You will also train internal teams, manage a vendor, and help shape how the school presents itself to the world.

Key Responsibilities for Programmer

• Update, develop, and maintain the MBRSG website with fresh content. Produce analytical and statistical web reports, then verify that all information is correct
• Work closely with internal teams to identify system requirements. Develop detailed specifications with clear deliverables and timelines so that website projects finish on time.
• Conduct system analysis to choose the right architecture and technical solutions. Make relevant recommendations for all online projects.
• Use pre built HTML pages to integrate images, text content, and support files for font styles and JavaScript. Rely on HTML templates that include CSS and JavaScript code.
• Support the existing online infrastructure. At the same time, develop a new content management system platform that makes it easy to manage content and create web pages.
• Develop and validate test routines. Make sure that test cases mimic external interfaces and work properly across all browsers, devices, and operating systems.
• Build in house applications designed specifically for the MBRSG website needs. Manage and work closely with the website development vendor to improve website functionalities.
• Identify, communicate, and overcome website problems related to complex web and application based projects. Design web scripting language using PHP and the ASP.NET programming framework.
• Support website development in terms of coding and programming from the start through alpha and beta testing. Develop content criteria, edit and write website content, and choose the right solutions.
• Keep a strong understanding of the latest web development and programming practices. Follow security principles at all times. Act as a Swift developer to maintain applications for iOS and OS X, and oversee their integration with back end services.
• Provide technical training to MBRSG teams. Participate in conferences, workshops, and practitioner groups. Finally, back up files from websites to local directories for recovery.

Qualifications

You need a bachelor degree or higher in computer science from an accredited university. You also need three or more years of experience in a related field. Preferred qualifications include proven work experience as a web programmer or developer, knowledge of object oriented programming and web application development, and hands on experience with programming languages like PHP, ASP NET, and JavaScript. Familiarity with HTML and CSS is also a plus. This role is suitable for people with determination, so qualified UAE nationals are encouraged to apply.
