The University of Khorfakkan needs a qualified Media and Communication Professor to join its faculty. This full time role involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses with a focus on contemporary and digital media trends. You will help students understand journalism, digital media, and communication strategies. Your goal is to deliver excellent teaching and research. In addition, you will supervise graduation projects, master theses, and doctoral dissertations. You will also contribute to curriculum development. If you hold a PhD in Media and Communication, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field, this role is for you. At least three years of successful teaching experience at both undergraduate and graduate levels is required.

Key Responsibilities for PhD Holders in Media and Communication Khor Fakkan

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Media and Communication. Focus on contemporary and digital media trends. Use e learning and digital technology effectively.
• Engage in research activities and initiate projects. Publish your findings in internationally recognized, peer reviewed scientific journals. Prioritize journals indexed in Scopus. Supervise graduation projects, master theses, and doctoral dissertations.
• Contribute to curriculum development. Update and enhance academic programs to align with industry trends. Participate in academic accreditation processes. Ensure compliance with the UAE Commission for Academic Accreditation and international standards.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the department, college, or university. Engage in community service initiatives. These include organizing media related events, offering consultancy, and strengthening industry partnerships.
• Advise and mentor students. Guide them in their academic and professional development. Finally, play an active role in the advancement of the college and university. Contribute to research, teaching, and community engagement efforts.

Qualifications

You need a PhD in Media and Communication, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field from a recognized university. At least three years of successful teaching experience at both undergraduate and graduate levels in media, communications, or related disciplines is required. A strong research record with publications in high impact, peer reviewed journals or journals indexed in Scopus is essential. You must have experience supervising graduation projects, master theses, and doctoral dissertations. A proven ability to establish collaborations with media organizations, industry partners, and community institutions is necessary. A demonstrated history of contributing to university and community service initiatives is also required. Preference goes to candidates with experience in e learning and online education. Proficiency in integrating digital technology into curriculum design and instruction is also preferred.
