Responsibilities of Pastoral Care Coordinator
Pastoral Counseling
- Provide confidential pastoral counseling to individuals and families facing challenges such as grief, illness, or other life transitions.
- Offer emotional support, guidance, and spiritual care to enhance overall well being.
Community Engagement
- Develop and maintain relationships with community resources to enhance the availability of support services.
- Organize and participate in community outreach initiatives to promote pastoral care programs.
Coordination and Administration
- Coordinate pastoral care programs and services, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of pastoral care activities, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Oversee behavior, students attendance, and uniforms.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with other departments, such as healthcare, human resources, and education, to integrate pastoral care into overall organizational well being strategies.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss and address individual and community needs.
Training and Development
- Provide training to staff and volunteers on effective pastoral care approaches.
- Stay informed about current trends and best practices in pastoral care through continued education and professional development.
Crisis Intervention
- Respond to crises within the organization, providing immediate pastoral support as needed.
- Collaborate with crisis intervention teams to ensure a coordinated response.
Job Requirements of Pastoral Care Coordinator
- Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Care, Counseling, Divinity, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Previous experience in providing pastoral care or counseling services in schools.
Skills & Knowledge Desired of Pastoral Care Coordinator
- Can teach at “Secondary Level” in any subject.
- Strong Leadership skills and a visionary leader.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate empathy and compassion.
