About the Role

The Modern Apprentice will be based in the Mechanical Workshop, a small team that designs and builds high-quality mechanical equipment to support research and development activities. Furthermore, you will work on producing precision opto-mechanical components and a diverse range of other components supporting research and teaching. Moreover, you will be enrolled on the Modern Apprentice scheme and undertake formal education at local colleges while learning skills on the job in the workshop.

Key Responsibilities for Modern Apprentice in Mechanical Engineering at University of Strathclyde Business School UAE Abu Dhabi

• Design and build high-quality mechanical equipment for research and development
• Produce precision opto-mechanical components using traditional and modern techniques
• Support research and teaching activities within the Department of Physics
