About the Role

The Lab Supervisor for the AI and Robotics program at Al Ain University is responsible for managing and delivering lab sessions that support the university’s AI and Robotics curriculum at the Al Ain campus. This role reports to the College management and involves close collaboration with course instructors to prepare and deliver practical lab content. Furthermore, the Supervisor will support students through tutoring sessions, assist in departmental reporting, and contribute to accreditation-related activities. Moreover, this role requires a technically proficient professional with expertise in Robotics, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering who can effectively bridge theory and hands-on practice for students.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver lab sessions related to the AI and Robotics program, including teaching, grading, and supervising student practical work.
• Assist course instructors with the preparation and delivery of course and laboratory materials.
• Actively participate in departmental and college activities and academic meetings.
• Perform tasks related to departmental reporting, program reviews, and accreditation processes as assigned.
• Conduct tutoring sessions to support student learning as assigned by college management.
• Demonstrate proficiency in oral and written communication skills in English to support students and colleagues.
• Collaborate effectively with faculty and college staff to ensure high-quality lab delivery.
• Maintain lab equipment, tools, and materials in proper working condition.
• Ensure lab safety standards are upheld during all practical sessions.
• Support the development and improvement of lab curriculum materials and assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a relevant field.
• Proficiency in both Arabic and English, spoken and written.
• Good command of computer use, particularly MS Office programs and relevant engineering software.
• Strong communication skills with a professional and student-friendly personality.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and work under pressure.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience; fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
• Prior professional experience in a university or college setting is preferred.
