About the Role

The LAMDA Peripatetic Teacher will take overall responsibility for delivering high-quality LAMDA lessons to the College’s current cohort of 28 enrolled students. Furthermore, the postholder will work closely with the Director of Drama to create a lesson schedule, develop engaging resources, and support students through their LAMDA examinations. The role also involves promoting and publicising the LAMDA programme to parents and students across the school. Moreover, the teacher will support the wider Drama Department by running workshops and helping to prepare students for school performances and productions.

Key Responsibilities for LAMDA Peripatetic Teacher at Dubai College Dubai

• Deliver LAMDA lessons in Public Speaking to currently enrolled students
• Develop and create engaging, high-quality resources for LAMDA exam preparation
• Promote and publicise the LAMDA programme to parents and prospective students
• Coordinate with the Director of Drama to build and maintain the lesson schedule
• Support students through their LAMDA examinations and assessments
• Lead and facilitate Drama workshops for students across year groups
• Contribute to the preparation and rehearsal of school performances and productions
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and examination results
• Communicate student development updates effectively to parents and staff

Requirements

• LAMDA teaching qualification or equivalent drama education certification
• Proven experience delivering LAMDA lessons, particularly in Public Speaking
• Currently residing in the UAE on a valid residence visa with appropriate work permit
• Strong communication, performance, and interpersonal skills
• Genuine passion for drama, public speaking, and supporting young people
• Experience working with children and young people in an educational setting
• DBS check or equivalent international police clearance required
