About the Role
The Human Resources Coordinator at American University in Dubai will manage key HR functions including employee relations, recruitment coordination, benefits administration, and compliance. Furthermore, this role supports the HR Manager in implementing policies and procedures that align with AUD’s strategic goals and UAE labor regulations. Moreover, the coordinator will serve as a primary contact for employee inquiries and ensure efficient HR service delivery across the university.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the full-cycle recruitment process including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and offer management
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for all staff
- Support the administration of employee benefits, compensation, and payroll-related activities
- Monitor compliance with UAE labor laws, university policies, and HR best practices
- Maintain accurate employee records and update the HRIS system regularly
- Coordinate employee training and professional development programs
- Support performance management processes including appraisal scheduling and documentation
- Develop and maintain HR reports and analytics for management review
- Promote a positive workplace culture through employee engagement initiatives and events
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in HR coordination or a generalist HR role
- Strong knowledge of UAE labor laws and employment regulations
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and HR analytics tools
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal; Arabic is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion
- CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent HR certification is preferred
