City University Ajman is hiring a HR Officer Ajman, United Arab Emirates in Ajman, United Arab Emirates. This is a full-time position.
City University Ajman needs a proactive HR Officer to join its Human Resources team. This full time role supports the effective delivery of HR operations and services. You will ensure compliance with university policies and UAE labor regulations. You will also support employees and management across the entire employee lifecycle. Your goal is to contribute to a positive and compliant workplace environment. If you hold a bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field, this role suits you. Fluency in both English and Arabic is mandatory.
Maintain effective working relationships with all departments and colleges across the university
Support end to end HR operations including onboarding, employee records, contract management, and offboarding
Assist in recruitment and selection activities such as job postings, CV screening, interview coordination, and candidate communication
Prepare HR documentation including offer letters, contracts, confirmations, warnings, and other employee correspondence
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in both electronic and physical formats
Coordinate with PRO and government relations for visa processing, labor cards, Emirates ID, and other employee documents
Ensure compliance with UAE Labour Law and university HR policies
Support payroll inputs, leave management, attendance tracking, and employee data updates
Handle employee queries professionally and provide timely HR support
Assist in performance management processes and appraisal documentation
Support employee engagement initiatives, training programs, and staff development activities
Prepare HR reports and dashboards for headcount, turnover, leave, and other metrics
Assist in disciplinary procedures, grievance handling, and employee relations matters
Maintain updated HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook
Support audits, accreditation, and compliance documentation as required
Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve HR efficiency and service delivery
Attend meetings as required and perform other HR related duties as assigned
Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field
Fluency in both English and Arabic is mandatory
Proven experience in an HR Officer or similar HR operations role
Strong knowledge of UAE Labour Law and HR best practices
Excellent organizational, time management, and administrative skills
High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in HR systems, MS Office, and HR documentation processes
Experience in higher education or institutional environments is an advantage
