The Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government is searching for an experienced academic leader to oversee strategic planning, faculty development, and program quality. This senior management role is based in Dubai and is open exclusively to UAE nationals. If you hold a PhD in a related field, preferably in Innovation Management, and have ten or more years of leadership experience, this position allows you to shape how public policy education is delivered. You will lead curriculum improvement, manage budgets, build external partnerships, and ensure international accreditation standards are met. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic academic planning and implementation process to ensure high quality, effective academic programs that meet international standards. Allocate academic resources wisely to support these goals.
• Implement innovative programming through multiple academic delivery models. Evaluate course enrollment trends and build external strategic partnerships to promote academic programs.
• Ensure program and institutional compliance with professional, regional, and international accreditation criteria as well as federal licensure. Evaluate instructional effectiveness through student course evaluations, syllabus reviews, and classroom visits.
• Support effective and collegial faculty governance structures. Establish regular communication with faculty and lead the assessment and improvement of faculty performance.
• Prepare and evaluate planning materials, the academic calendar, and operational guidelines. Develop and propose major academic, student, and faculty policies to encourage innovation, quality, and program growth.
• Assess strategic initiatives to anticipate changes in strategic plans, performance targets, economic forecasts, occupational outlooks, and student needs. Contribute to the recruitment and retention of diverse, highly qualified faculty and academic staff.
• Provide leadership in developing objective faculty evaluations, advancement in rank considerations, research production, and contract renewals. Encourage cooperation and coordination among faculty for academic endeavors and committee work.
• Support and monitor faculty academic research in line with the school’s research agenda. Furthermore, provide leadership in recruiting, selecting, orienting, and retaining academic staff. Finally, give leadership to the budget process in the academic area and create a climate conducive to scholarly inquiry.

Qualifications

You need a PhD degree in a related field, preferably in Innovation Management. You also need ten or more years of related work experience, with at least ten years spent in a senior supervisory or leadership role that shows progressive responsibility and authority.
