You will process purchase requests and orders within your authority. You will also invite, review, and award supplier bids and quotes. You will do the following as the Procurement Officer:
Process purchase requests and orders within your authority
Invite, assess, and award or recommend supplier bids and quotes
Set up and negotiate contract terms, then manage supplier relationships
Work with internal and external teams to decide buying needs, quality, and delivery dates
Help write specifications for equipment, materials, and services
Oversee contract performance, including delivery, receipts, warranties, damages, and insurance
Follow all applicable laws, rules, standards, and best practices
Prepare the yearly buying plan with other departments
Book travel arrangements such as hotels, flights, and transfers
Share information according to school procedures and policies
Send problems that need policy answers to the right managers
Keep digital records and create lists, reports, and other documents
Review and edit communication for the Administrative Affairs Office
Talk with other departments about their needs and reply to all related emails
Ensure smooth communication between all departments
Build good working relationships with colleagues and managers
Keep buying records, reports, and price lists, and coordinate supplies
Prepare and process requisitions using set guidelines
Maintain and prepare budget information
You need a bachelor’s degree from an approved university. A CIPS diploma (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) is a plus. You must have three to five years of related work experience, ideally with knowledge of buying processes, policies, and systems. UAE nationality is a must. Strong negotiation, analysis, and communication skills are essential. This role is open to people of determination.
A typical market salary for a Procurement Officer in a Dubai government school ranges from 18,000 to 25,000 AED per month, tax‑free.
