About the Role

The Biomedical Engineer at PureHealth is responsible for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of medical equipment and devices across the hospital network. Furthermore, the role works under the direction of the Project Manager and Senior Biomedical Engineer to ensure all preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and administrative activities comply with entity standards and requirements. Moreover, this position plays a vital role in ensuring that all biomedical equipment meets strict quality standards and regulatory requirements, directly supporting the delivery of safe and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform the installation of medical equipment and devices across hospital facilities
• Conduct preventive maintenance and calibration of biomedical equipment, maintaining accurate documentation
• Manage on-site breakdown maintenance and repairs to minimize equipment downtime
• Operate and manage various types of test equipment used in calibration and maintenance of medical devices
• Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to log and track all maintenance activities
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, quality standards, and hospital policies
• Collaborate with medical professionals, manufacturers, and clinical staff on equipment performance issues
• Support the procurement and commissioning of new biomedical equipment for the hospital network
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and technological advancements in biomedical engineering
• Contribute to risk assessments and equipment lifecycle management planning

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• UAE National (Emirati) candidate required for this position
• 1–3 years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance within a hospital or healthcare setting
• Practical knowledge of medical devices including imaging systems, patient monitoring equipment, and laboratory instruments
• Familiarity with CMMS platforms and biomedical documentation standards
• Understanding of UAE health authority regulations and biomedical equipment standards
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
