About the Role
The Registered Nurse at Al Zahra Hospital Dubai will assess the needs of each patient, develop appropriate care plans, and lead the delivery of high-quality nursing care within their assigned unit. Furthermore, the role demands strong clinical decision-making and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff. Moreover, the nurse will act as an advocate for patient safety and will contribute to maintaining the unit’s compliance with DHA and AZHD clinical governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess clients’ nursing care needs and plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care in line with AZHD standards.
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care that reflects current best practices and patient-specific requirements.
- Maintain full compliance with AZHD policies, DHA regulations, and professional nursing standards at all times.
- Ensure a consistently safe clinical environment through proper documentation and safe working practices.
- Keep nursing knowledge and clinical competencies current through ongoing professional development.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes and care quality.
- Document all nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record.
- Support and guide junior nursing staff, healthcare assistants, and students on clinical placement.
- Participate in ward-based education, competency assessments, and quality improvement projects.
- Perform other unit-based duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Charge Nurse or Nurse Manager.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (minimum 3-year accredited programme).
- Valid nursing registration in country of training and/or most recent country of employment.
- DHA Nursing License (Dubai Health Authority) — current or eligible to obtain.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting post-graduation.
- Strong patient assessment and clinical communication skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; other languages including Arabic are an asset.
