About the Role
The Registered Nurse at Al Zahra Hospital Dubai will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients across assigned clinical areas, always ensuring assessments, care plans, and interventions meet the highest professional and regulatory standards. Furthermore, the nurse will engage actively with the multidisciplinary team, support patient and family education, and contribute to a positive and collaborative ward culture. Moreover, strong documentation practices and proactive clinical communication are central expectations of this role within the AZHD nursing model.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised nursing care for all assigned patients.
- Provide nursing care consistent with current evidence-based practice, AZHD policies, and DHA standards.
- Monitor patient status continually and report clinical changes to the treating team without delay.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately following AZHD medication management protocols.
- Maintain timely, accurate nursing documentation using the hospital’s electronic medical record system.
- Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff to deliver holistic patient care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Participate actively in nursing handovers, ward rounds, and departmental meetings.
- Adhere to all infection prevention, hand hygiene, and patient safety protocols across the clinical unit.
- Undertake other unit-based duties and responsibilities as assigned by nursing management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited programme (minimum 3-year duration).
- Current valid nursing registration in country of training and/or last country of employment.
- Valid DHA Nursing License (Dubai Health Authority) or eligibility to obtain one.
- Minimum 2 years of post-registration nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
- Dedicated, patient-focused professional with the ability to thrive in a multicultural team.
