A college in the UAE needs an Adjunct Faculty member to teach General Business courses. This part time role focuses on helping undergraduate students learn. You will teach second language learners in a friendly, student centered way. You should respect each student’s culture and traditions. You also need to cover at least two specific business subjects. In addition, you may help with capstone projects, work experience, and senior level courses. If you have strong academic qualifications and five or more years of industry experience, this role suits you. Experience with course curriculum development is a plus.
Key Responsibilities for Adjunct Faculty
- Teach General Business courses with clear, engaging methods. Use simple language to reach second language learners. Give students continuous feedback through tests, projects, and assignments.
- Use educational technology to make lessons innovative. Offer individual help when students struggle. Solve student issues quickly by talking with the program coordinator.
- Support students during capstone projects and work placements. Keep office hours for student advising. Track student progress and help them succeed.
- Prepare your lessons ahead of time. Present material in a practical, hands on way. Help develop course curriculum under guidance. Follow accreditation and international standards.
- Join academic and extracurricular events on campus and in the community. Finally, complete any other tasks your supervisor assigns.
Qualifications
You need the right academic and professional qualifications for this discipline. Five or more years of relevant industry experience is a strong plus. Experience building courses that meet accreditation standards also helps. Good communication and people skills are essential. You must enjoy student centered, hands on teaching. Your work schedule runs Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 8 PM, based on class times.
