Terminal Operator/Fitter Emarat Dubai

Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat) presently has a job opening for a skilled candidate for position of Terminal Operator / Fitter in Dubai. The role is required to to carry out tasks relating to ship loading, pipeline transfers and discharge of petroleum products within the terminal and airport, to practice good maintenance and housekeeping relating to terminals equipment and facilities and to handle truck loading operations with the objective of maintaining smooth and safe operations in line with EMARAT terminal operating procedures and HSE standards.

Job Duties of Terminal Operator

Terminals Operations: 

• Participates in Ship Loading, Pipeline transfers and Discharge Operations, connects and disconnects loading arm, carries out product sampling, tank farm lining up, hourly quality checks etc.
• Directly involved in truck loading, connects and disconnects loading arm, ensures the trucks tanks are empty to avoid possibility of contamination.
• Participates in the transfer the product within terminal tanks under instructions of supervisor and ensures product is circulated in the Tanks.
• Participates in product sampling and tank gauging in safe manner.
• Participates in tank heating operations for safe starting and monitors the operations.
• Participates in pigging operations and monitors the tanks pressure and product levels.
• Participates in the process of draining water from the tanks.
• Team member for Fire fighting procedure and acts as a fire fighter.
• Carries out monthly scheduled maintenance and equipment testing of fire pumps, generators, fire alarm system etc.

Health, Safety, Environmental:

• Maintains an incident free environment through implementing a strong safety culture and observing fire and safety regulations.
• Monitors the activities of contractors working on site ensuring they follow Corporation procedures covering safety, issuing hot/cold work permits and entry permits.

Job Requirements For Terminal Operator

The eligibility requirements for the role of Terminal Operator / Fitter are as under:

Qualification

• Secondary Education.

Experience

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience within a similar role.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas Distribution Industry preferred.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Knowledge of petroleum products and equipment, Terminal Operations
• Effective Communication skills.
• Time management skill.
