Technician ADNOC UAE

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, ADNOC UAE presently has a job opening for position of a Technician Telecom (Maintenance). This job is based in UAE and desirous candidates with relevant experience in Oil & Gas Industry can apply for this position to be part of ADNOC.

Job Purpose of Tachnician Telecom

Carry out day to day Telecom maintenance activities in addition to corrective and breakdown maintenance activities related to all Telecom equipment in the assigned field or area.

Responsibilities of Technician Telecom

• Responsible for routine and preventive work with repair and testing of devices in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and established safe working practices.
• Responds to work requests and work orders in a timely manner as per work assignments from Engineer.
• Obtain the necessary work permits and certificates as per procedures and company HSE regulations to safely review routine tasks.
• Make inspections on different installations at various sites within the field or area of responsibility to determine equipment serviceability.
• Monitor network performance over the Network Management Systems (NMS) software to determine failure conditions and bring it to attention of the engineer.
• Carry out modification and new installations as per plans in line with engineer’s directions and supervises external contractor work.
• Participate in the repairing of devices that involves other teams such as instrumentation in close cooperation with other disciple technicians and external agencies.
• Update all records such as databases and redlines as built drawings on modifications for all devices use and update work records in MMS.
• Prepare and maintains a variety of record files, drawings, manuals and databases etc that are related to Telecom field.
• Carry out the repair and testing of different modules in a workshop environment.
• Ensure that all test equipment and measurement devices are well calibrated and have a valid certification.

Qualification

• Degree or Diploma in Telecoms Engineering or equivalent relevant degree / education.

Experience

• At least 5 years in the same or similar role working in an oil and gas industry.
