About the Role

As a Teacher of Girls Physical Education at Jumeirah College Dubai, you will teach GCSE Physical Education, A Level Physical Education, and BTEC Level 3 Sport. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in coaching one or more core sports such as football, netball, volleyball, and basketball. You will join an exceptional department where GCSE results in 2025 saw 100 percent of students achieving grades 9 to 5, and A Level results reached 80 percent A* to C.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality GCSE, A Level, and BTEC Level 3 Physical Education and Sport lessons
• Coach students in core sports including football, netball, volleyball, and basketball
• Lead and contribute to the school’s extensive extra-curricular sports programme
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote physical literacy, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners in an international setting
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues to support the holistic development of every student

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field (B.Ed. or PGCE preferred)
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching PE at the secondary level
• Experience teaching GCSE and A Level Physical Education is highly desirable
• Strong coaching background in at least one core team sport
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
