About the Role
The Staff Nurse in Imaging at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is responsible for providing general and specialized direct and indirect patient care through evidence-based nursing procedures. Furthermore, this position involves demonstrating competency in the behavioral, growth, development, and psychosocial needs of patients undergoing imaging procedures. Moreover, the nurse reports directly to the Nurse Manager and collaborates with the radiology and imaging team to ensure safe patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete timely patient admission and ongoing assessments for imaging procedures
- Provide direct care and evaluate outcomes incorporating family-centered care principles
- Monitor and document patients’ condition and effectiveness of care during imaging
- Assess educational needs of patients considering cultural needs and special concerns
- Administer prescribed medications utilizing barcode scanning protocols
- Delegate appropriate nursing care components to other team members
- Incorporate CCAD Professional Practice model and patient safety principles
- Participate in safety education programs and quality improvement initiatives
- Complete charge capture education and in-service training within the Institute
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification is required
- Minimum three (3) year curriculum in Nursing from an accredited program
- Minimum of two (2) years post-graduate experience in an ambulatory care setting
- Valid and current national nursing license is required
- BLS from AHA or equivalent required; ACLS and PALS within 6 months
- Strong communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English
- Experience with electronic medical records is strongly preferred
