Software Engineer, Flydubai UAE

Flydubai is presently looking to hire suitable candidate for role of a Software Engineer (.Net). The selected candidate will form part of Sofware Technical team at Flydubai. This job was recently posted by the airline & is welcoming applications from candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria.

Purpose of A Software Engineer

Ddesign, develop, implement and maintain software based technology and products that provide support across the flydubai

Job Duties of A Software Engineer

• Executes complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirement analysis and solution design, to coding, unit testing, integration while supporting quality assurance and user acceptance testing.
• Develops software solutions that complies with flydubai coding standards & technical design ensuring output is a well designed, testable code.
• Works with the Software Technical team to understand functional and non functional requirements and technical design.
• Liaises with the IT Corporate & Support team to understand the various business scenarios and requirements across flydubai to create prototypes in alignment with each department.
• Develops software verification plans and quality assurance procedures and executes unit test cases to resolve defects.
• Integrates software components into a fully functional software system and performs System Integration Tests (SIT).
• Documents the user manual, product release and technical documentation for software maintenance.
• Provides ongoing support and guidance to the business post go live and provides technical support, evaluating any user feedback for future releases/fixes.
• Ensures the development cycle meets the software development KPIs, in terms of productivity, defect density and system performance.
• Collaborates within software engineering community, share experiences, learns new frameworks and develop new skills.
• Works with the learning & development team to upgrade software development skills.
• Stay abreast of new tools & technologies in software field.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelors degree in software, IT, computer science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in similar role.
• Experience in working with database applications such as SQL Server, NoSQL, Oracle.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Proficient in programming languages such as C#,.Net .
• Thorough understanding of object oriented concepts.
• Familiar with .Net related software and technologies such as Kafka/IBM MQ/Web API/RAML integration techniques, APIs, design patterns, algorithms, software version controlling Agile development methodologies & latest web technologies.
• Effective communication skills.
• Resilience and flexibility (can do attitude).
