Community Development Authority is presently looking for candidates for position Senior Social Worker (Home Care). Established in 2008, CDA is responsible for setting up and developing a framework for social development. It aims to achieve the goals outlined in the Dubai Strategic Plans. CDA is in charge for the overall supervision to achieve social sector outputs and provide the provisions of social services in order to create an integrated and efficient management system for the development of social services in the emirate. The core objectives of CDA’s are aimed at involving the stakeholders and increase the relationships with them. The objectives also include to diversify fund, enhance productivity and efficiency in operations and aligning organizational structure to the main projects and programs.

Job Overview of A Senior Social Worker Home Care

Provides support and assistance to individuals and families within their homes, addressing their social, emotional and practical needs.

Your Duties As A Senior Social Worker Home Care

  • Preparing social studies for complex cases exposed to abuse, neglect or exploitation of the older in the Emirate of Dubai, so to transfer from the reporting system to develop solutions and recommendations to prepare reports for the judicial authorities.
  • Coordinate with external entities and provide shelter services or housing for cases of older persons at risk.
  • Prepare reports for follow up with the judicial authorities to apply judicial recommendations according to cases.
  • Carry out field visits to home or shelters to follow up on the situation of the older people.
  • Preparing recommendations and reports and transferring them to social workers for inclusion in the empowerment database to prepare individual plans according to cases and follow up on their implementation.
  • Guide older citizens and their families and solve their problems.
  • Respond to the queries of older citizen families and finding the best ways to raise their standard of living.
  • Preparing a guide for services provided to older citizens and procedures related to services.
  • Review the guide and update it according to developments, needs of the category and strategic directions.
  • Prepare awareness programs for older citizens to preserve their health, empower them and integrate them socially.
  • Documenting protection cases (older citizens exposed to abuse, neglect) in the integrated case management system database.
  • Measuring operational signs related to protection cases and submit reports to the line manager.

Who Can Apply?

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work.

Experience

  • At least 4 years of experience in the social field.

Lingual

  • Fluency in English and Arabic (spoken and written).

Nationality

  • Preferably UAE national.
