About the Role

The Senior Receivable Officer at Al Zahra Hospital Dubai is responsible for managing the hospital’s accounts receivable operations, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments from insurance companies, patients, and third-party payers. Furthermore, the role involves maintaining accurate financial records and coordinating with clinical and administrative departments to resolve billing disputes. Moreover, the position requires close attention to detail, strong knowledge of UAE insurance regulations, and experience with hospital billing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all accounts receivable accounts to ensure timely payment collections.
• Coordinate with insurance companies, TPAs, and patients to follow up on outstanding balances.
• Reconcile outstanding claims and resolve billing discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims in compliance with DHA and insurer requirements.
• Maintain detailed records of all receivable transactions and generate periodic financial reports.
• Liaise with the clinical coding team to ensure accurate diagnosis and procedure coding on claims.
• Monitor ageing reports and escalate unresolved accounts to management as required.
• Support internal and external audits by providing relevant receivables documentation.
• Identify process improvements to optimise the revenue cycle management workflow.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure month-end closing activities are completed accurately.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in healthcare receivables or medical billing in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE insurance regulations, TPA processes, and DHA billing guidelines.
• Proficiency in hospital management systems (HMS) and accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced hospital environment.
