KU is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to work on Intelligent Systems and Human Computer Interaction. The selected candidate is responsible for Ai, which refers to developing AI systems that aligns with ethical, security, privacy, and legal considerations, advocates the integration of model explainability with privacy and security considerations by design, prompts a thoughtful examination of the benefits and risks associated with explainable AI (XAI) techniques in scenarios involving sensitive information and/or confidential ML models.

Job Requirements of Research Associate

• Msc in ECE/computer science or related discipline.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience as a researcher in academia or in industry.
• Experience in different types of Machine learning.
• Experience of undertaking assigned research tasks and contributing to academic outputs.
• Experience contributing to high impact publications in top 10% journals in the relevant field.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Excellent programming skills (Python).
• Adhere to the University’s information security and confidentiality policies and procedures, and report breaches or other security risks accordingly.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.
