Job Description

NMC Healthcare is presently accepting applications from suitable candidate for the job role of Registered Nurse NICU in NMC Specialty Hospital, Al Ain, AE. This is an Intermediate level full time role. For this position salary ranges from 4000-7000 AED, which may be slightly negotiable during the interview process.

Responsibilities of Registered Nurse

  • Ensure relevant training and competency is undertaken to deliver care safely
  • Maintain up-to-date mandatory training requirements
  • Follow the clinical pathways set out by the NMC Elsevier platform
  • Follow and comply with the NMC Competency Framework, relevant to their role profile
  • Be willing to learn new clinical skills
  • Support and supervise pre-registration and new nurses and Health Care Workers when required
  • Participate in teaching, mentorship and preceptorship programs when required
  • Participate in clinical supervision
  • Participate in Performance Improvement Plans when required
  • Share knowledge and skill with others, in order to improve patient care and service
  • Ensure they are skilled, trained and competent before using any medical device.
  • Involve patients in their own healthcare and recovery through education, awareness and positive reinforcement.

  • Participate in all activities related to DoH & NMC Quality Improvement when required

  • Ensure timely expert advice or senior nursing support is sought when a patient’s condition fails to respond to prescribed treatment
  • Manage a deteriorating patient without delay, using the EWS 2 escalation process and emergency algorithm.

Requirements for Role of Registered Nurse

  • Have an appropriate license to work as a nurse in the relevant regulatory health authority (DoH) with all the qualification and experience this mandates.
  • 2 years experience/expertise in the clinical field in which they are employed.
  • Have basic life support qualification (within past 24 months)

Skills And Knowledge Desired

  • Manage their own professional revalidation.
  • Have an active interest in the clinical field in which they are employed.
  • Be willing to work across departments when necessary .
  • Be willing to take on Team Lead roles within their department when necessary.
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English (spoken and written).
  • Evidenced ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Organizational and administrative skills with which to use the HIS platform for clinical documentation.
  • Be able to communicate effectively in Arabic.
