IBO Medical Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Assistant Nurse – Dental to support our dental team in delivering exceptional care to patients. As a Registered Nurse – Dental, you will play a critical role in assisting with dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and promoting oral health. You will work alongside dental professionals to provide high-quality care in a modern and patient-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures, including handling instruments, preparing the treatment area, and ensuring the patient’s comfort.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient assessment and instruction on oral health practices.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs, administer sedation as directed, and ensure patient safety throughout dental procedures.
- Prepare patients for dental treatments by explaining procedures, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
- Assist in the management of dental emergencies by recognizing signs and administering appropriate interventions.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting care provided, medications administered, and patient reactions.
- Sterilize dental instruments and ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and safe for use.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventative care, and the importance of maintaining regular dental checkups.
- Collaborate with dentists, dental hygienists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, dental protocols, and IBO Medical Center’s standards of care.
Qualification & Experience of Assistant Nurse
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent nursing qualification.
- Atleast 2 years of experience supporting Dental specialist.
- Valid license from the relevant health authority.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on patient safety and care.
- Willingness to continue learning and stay current with dental nursing best practices.
