Job Description

NMC Healthcare is actively searching for dedicated candidates for the role of a Registered Nurse LTCU in Al Ain, UAE. This is an Intermediate level full time role. For this position salary ranges from 6000-12000 AED, which may be slightly negotiable during the interview process.

Responsibilities of A Registered Nurse LTCU

  • Clinical Care
  • Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of health care errors.
  • Provides direct care and related duties in NMC Provita  and maintains current knowledge of nursing practice and standards
  • Plans, implements and evaluates nursing care given to assigned patient in an effective and organized manner
  • Provides for the physical, psychological and social needs of the patient and families
  • Is familiar with, and understands, the Severe Care Domains of DOH.
  • Demonstrates an understanding and utilization of Evidenced-Based Healthcare.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills and knowledge of pathophysiology that enables the ability to care for patients across the entire spectrum of care (acuity) and promotes quality of life.
  • Advocates in the best interest of the patient and family at all times.
  • Has knowledge of, supports and integrates Patient and Family Centered Care.
  • Follows the twelve (12) medication rights to reduce the potential for medication errors.
  • Provides education to the family regarding aspects of care as appropriate.
  • Formulates a teaching plan based upon identified family learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning (where appropriate).
  • Demonstrates an ability to assist physicians/therapists with procedures.
  • Coordinates and supervises patient care as necessary.

  • Actively participates in Performance Improvement and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities.
  • Complies with all organizational policies.
  • Is competent in all aspects of pain management.

Eligibility Requirements

The eligibility requirements for role of a Registered Nurse LTCU are as under:

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing.
  • 2 years of minimum clinical experience and recent ICU/long term care unit assignment.
