About the Role
The Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room at King’s College Hospital London UAE will work as part of the nursing and multidisciplinary teams to provide evidence-based holistic care throughout the patient pathway. Furthermore, you will perform the role of Emergency and Triage Nurse, assessing and prioritizing patients upon arrival and ensuring timely medical intervention. Moreover, this position involves expanding your specialist nursing skills while maintaining the highest standards of professional and ethical responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a high standard of evidence-based, courteous care to emergency patients
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs on an ongoing basis
- Treat critical injuries and trauma, including wound care and primary closure
- Assess and prioritize patients upon arrival based on clinical urgency and symptoms
- Perform initial nursing assessments, record vital signs, and document medical history
- Communicate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for rapid response
- Monitor waiting patients for condition changes and ensure continuous reassessment
- Ensure safe custody and administration of drugs in accordance with hospital policy
- Adhere to safeguarding policies and escalate concerns to the MDT
- Complete documentation accurately per JCIA standards and maintain patient confidentiality
Requirements
- UAE Medical Health Authority License (DHA)
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Degree in Nursing from recognized countries
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital or similar setting
- Resuscitation Certificate as per specialty requirements
- Demonstrable ongoing Continuing Professional Development
- Proficient in MS Office applications and digital documentation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
