About the Role
The Project Assistant will support the delivery of project and research-related activities within a multidisciplinary research laboratory. Furthermore, you will work under the general supervision of academic and senior professional colleagues on superconducting technologies, including next-generation superconducting motors. Moreover, this role involves daily operational support across three lab spaces while contributing to project delivery and coordination.
Key Responsibilities for Project Assistant at University of Strathclyde Business School UAE Abu Dhabi
- Support the preparation and coordination of project documentation and deliverables
- Manage procurement and administrative processes for the laboratory
- Contribute to the organisation of project activities and timelines
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of structured records and reports
- Provide practical support to laboratory and project operations
- Assist with documentation for experimental and testing activities
- Support data collection and maintenance of project information
- Contribute to internal and external project documentation and communication
- Coordinate engagement activities including social media and website updates
- Manage and prioritise workload to meet agreed deadlines
Requirements
- Qualifications in engineering, physics, or a related scientific or technical subject
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Proficiency in preparing structured reports and documentation
- Experience working in a research or innovation environment is desirable
- A higher degree in a relevant discipline is welcomed but not essential
- Membership or working towards membership of a relevant professional body is advantageous
