About the Role

The Pharmacist at Prime Hospital will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing drug information, and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals within the hospital. Key Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and in compliance with DHA regulations
• Review and verify medication orders for appropriateness, dosage, and potential interactions
• Provide drug information and counseling to patients, physicians, and nursing staff
• Monitor patient medication profiles for safety, efficacy, and adverse reactions
• Manage pharmacy inventory including ordering, receiving, and storage of pharmaceuticals
• Coordinate with clinical teams on formulary management and therapeutic substitutions
• Maintain accurate dispensing records and pharmacy documentation systems
• Participate in medication safety programs and antimicrobial stewardship initiatives
• Support clinical pharmacy services including ward rounds and medication reconciliation

Requirements

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution
• Valid DHA license or eligibility for DHA licensing as a Pharmacist
• Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and pharmaceutical calculations
• Experience with pharmacy information systems and electronic prescribing
• Excellent communication and patient counseling skills in English
• Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
