About the Role

Yasmina American School is seeking an outstanding Mathematics Teacher to start in August 2026. This position is based in Abu Dhabi and offers an exciting opportunity to deliver the American curriculum at a high-quality school within the Aldar Education network. Furthermore, the successful candidate will inspire students through engaging and imaginative Mathematics teaching, fostering curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

As Mathematics Teacher, you will deliver lessons that inspire students to achieve the best possible outcomes. Additionally, you will plan, prepare, and present sessions that cater to the needs of the whole ability range within your classes. Moreover, your duties include organising classroom provision and learning resources, creating engaging displays, and motivating pupils with enthusiastic teaching. Furthermore, you will assess and record student development using Target Tracker, provide feedback to parents at conferences, and use data to influence planning and intervention. In addition, you will manage classes effectively, maintain positive relationships with students, and demonstrate the values expected as a role model.

Requirements and Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education or a related subject with an appropriate teaching qualification. Additionally, a minimum of two to three years of teaching experience in Mathematics is required. Furthermore, previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language is desirable. Moreover, candidates should demonstrate a passion for teaching, commitment to educating the whole child, and a high level of professionalism. A positive and solution-focused attitude along with a clean enhanced DBS check or police check is also required.
