Aldar Education is actively seeking qualified individuals for the open position of Mathematics Teacher in UAE. The successful candidate will join Aldar academy at Yasmina British Academy in Abu Dhabi. Role of Mathematics Teacher
Comply with the academy’s Performance Management Policy ensuring challenging annual targets are set and to fulfil the role of performance management reviewer if directed to do so by the Principal.
Tasks of Mathematics Teacher
- Operate at all times within the stated policies and practices of the academy.
- Know subject(s) or specialism(s) to enable effective teaching.
- Establish effective working relationships and set an outstanding example through their presentation and personal and professional conduct.
- Endeavour to give every child the opportunity to reach their potential and meet high expectations.
- Co-operate with other staff to ensure a sharing and effective usage of resources to the benefit of the academy, department and students.
- Contribute to the corporate life of the academy through effective participation in meetings and management systems necessary to coordinate the leadership and management of the academy.
- Take part in marketing and liaison activities such as Open evenings/afternoons, Parent Teacher Consultations, and events with partner academys.
- Take responsibility for own professional development and duties in relation to academy policies and practices.
- Liaise effectively with parents.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or other relevant field with a teaching qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in teaching Mathematics up to A Level. Ability to teach further Mathematics highly desirable.
- Experience teaching British Curriculum is essential.
Knowledge & Skills
- Working knowledge of teachers’ professional duties and legal liabilities.
- Positive and solution-focused attitude to working life.
- Ability to deliver lessons that inspire students to succeed in order to achieve the best possible outcomes, up to A Level standard as a minimum.
