Import/Export industry is currently seeking a highly organized and detail oriented individual to join their team as a Logistic Coordinator. Responsibilities of Logistic Coordinator
- Coordinate and monitor the logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods and materials.
- Plan and schedule shipments, deliveries, and pickups to ensure timely and cost effective transportation of goods.
- Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and third party logistics providers to arrange transportation services and negotiate rates and contracts.
- Track and trace shipments, monitoring their progress and resolving any issues or delays that may arise during transit.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and documentation for shipments, including bills of lading, shipping invoices, and customs documentation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including transportation regulations, import/export laws, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with internal departments, including procurement, inventory management, and sales, to meet customer requirements and delivery deadlines.
- Analyze logistics data and performance metrics, identifying opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
- Assist with inventory management and warehouse operations, including cycle counts, stock reconciliation, and inventory control measures.
- Provide support and assistance to the logistics team and other departments as needed.
Requirements of Logistic Coordinator
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Previous experience of 1-2 years in logistics coordination, transportation management, or supply chain operations preferred but not required.
Skills and Knowledge Desired
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and vendors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and logistics management software.
- Knowledge of transportation modes, shipping procedures, and international trade regulations.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records, documentation, and data analysis.
- Problem solving skills and the ability to respond quickly and effectively to changing priorities and deadlines.
