United Arab Bank is presently accepting applications from suitable candidate for the job role of IT Application Support Manager. The selected candidate is responsible to contributes towards building suitable and effective IT applications for new and existing banking requirements while supervising and managing assigned banking applications projects.

Responsibilities of IT Application Support Manager

  • Support banking application on day-to-day basis while following UAB process and policies, extensively working on Incident, Problem, change requests and support other operational units for effective Service Delivery.
  • Display UAB values of Integrity, Customer focus, competence, consistency and courteousness.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to operations/business users to achieve the business objectives.
  • Timely reporting to concerned parties on all Operational Risk, Fraud and AML issues.
  • Risk Management obligation is the systematic application of management policies, procedures and practices to the tasks of identifying, analysing, evaluating, treating and monitoring risk. This helps to mitigate risks to acceptable levels of management.
  • Supporting applications, users and banks’ customers at any required period of time and is having a 24×7 nature. Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to needs of the systems being supported
  • To support, maintain, configured and upgrade the IT applications staying abreast of emerging technologies to enhance overall effectiveness.

What You’ll Do More?

  • Support and maintain banking applications and carry out enhancements for them as and when required to meet the banks business requirements.
  • Lead all the works related to application support section for effective and timely completion of assigned support tickets
  • Timely assignation of support tickets and queue management
  • Define the strategies and guidelines for optimization and the management of business application
  • Coordinating with vendors on existing and new bugs /support cases and report /address internal /external audit points
  • Perform other tasks as defined necessary by the management to provide efficient services to the bank
  • Adhere to IT Governance Policies, Standards and Procedures to ensure the effective controls and organization of tasks.
  • Analyze and solve problems reported from IT operations, peer teams and support ADM on innovative ideas
  • Guide the other sections within the IT department in their trouble shooting and support processes like testing Disaster Recovery and setting up backup systems of all applications to ensure their availability to the banking users.
  • Provide documentation (incident reporting), training, and guidance to computing system users and system/network administrators which will ensure the smooth and problem free operation of the maintained systems and applications as well as to ensure transfer of knowledge to the backup application administrators.

Eligibility Requirements

The requirements of IT Application Support Manager are as under:

  • Graduate/Post graduate in the field of IT or Computer Engineering
  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in department of IT and Trade Finance application experience is preferred.
  • 8-12 years of proven technical and domain experience in Finastra TI Plus covering all its modules, APIs, reporting functionalities, parameters and customization.
