About the Role
The Interpreter at Aspen Medical Middle East will work in a client-facing capacity, ensuring that Combat Medical Instructor intent is thoroughly understood during teaching and accurately translated between English and Emirati Arabic. Moreover, the role requires close and ongoing collaboration with the client’s organic training and compliance function throughout the lifetime of each course. Furthermore, interaction with the client must remain professional, collaborative, and consistent throughout the course design and delivery process. The successful candidate will support the Training Team in Abu Dhabi across all elements of contracted course delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Assume the role of Translator/Interpreter on any course described in the contract, in close collaboration with the client
- Translate and interpret accurately from English to Emirati Arabic on all contracted courses, in collaboration with the client’s Training and Compliance function
- Assist on all delivery products to facilitate course delivery as described in the contract
- Maintain collaborative interaction with the client’s organic training function throughout the entire course lifecycle
- Support course design and development activities in coordination with the Combat Medical Instructor and Training Team
- Contribute to the development, monitoring, and evaluation of the Quality Management System
- Promote full compliance with applicable laws and regulations required by governmental agencies including MOHRE, DOH, and JCIA
- Demonstrate strong teamwork and maintain effective working relationships in a multicultural environment
- Liaise effectively with clients, community groups, colleagues, and external agencies as required
- Perform any additional duties required to successfully deliver the contract to the satisfaction of the client
Requirements
- Internationally recognised qualification in written and spoken communication skills in English
- Internationally recognised qualification in written and spoken communication skills in Arabic
- Formal qualification in translation from English to Arabic (highly desirable)
- Essential medical background or familiarity with medical terminology
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills with a good work ethic
