About the Role

The Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is responsible for performing routine and complex EEG, IOM, EMG, Epilepsy Monitoring, and Evoked Potential examinations. Furthermore, the role involves conducting these examinations in the laboratory, at the patient’s bedside, or in intensive care units and within the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. Moreover, the technologist ensures proper adjustments are made for accurate recording procedures during nerve conduction studies.

Key Responsibilities for Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi Abu Dhabi

• Apply suitable electrodes on predetermined positions and check their performance
• Calibrate and adjust neurodiagnostic apparatus as necessary
• Describe all abnormal clinical manifestations observed during EEG testing
• Perform EEG exams on patients for special studies and schedule special procedure tests
• Obtain EEG recordings for carotid endarterectomy in the operating room
• Select nerves for study by reviewing request and patient history
• Make surface measurements and calculate conduction velocities based on results
• Maintain equipment in clean operating condition and perform proper maintenance
• Assist with Intra Operative Monitoring within the Peri-Operative Department
• Conduct and interpret EEG, NCS, and Evoked Potentials

Requirements

• Associate Degree (minimum 2-year curriculum) from an accredited Neurophysiology Technologist training program
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in a hospital setting (EEG/EMG, Evoked Potential, Polysomnographic)
• Current National License required
• Registration by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists or equivalent
• Registration by the American Board of Registration of Evoked Potential Technologists or equivalent
• Ability to speak and write in English is required; Arabic is preferred
