Purpose of An Instrumentation Maintenance Technician

  • Perform instrumentation maintenance tasks on safety and non safety related systems as prescribed to effectively maintain the plant and ensure high equipment reliability and performance.
  • Perform ST’s/PT’s and PM’s in accordance with the surveillance and PM programs.

Job Duties of An Instrumentation Maintenance Technician

  • Perform instrumentation maintenance job tasks in a timely manner and with quality to achieve operational readiness
  • To ensure functioning of instrument or equipment such as the containment equipment, specifically the reactor protection system, engineered safety future actuation system, radiation monitoring system, seismic monitoring system.
  • To ensure functioning of instrument or equipment such as Balance of Plant (BOP) I&C equipment, specifically the turbine building open/close cooling water system, plant water treatment system, instrument air system, plant Hydrogen, Carbon Dioxide, & Nitrogen gas treatment system, auxiliary steam system etc.
  • Review work packages for operation and outage maintenance activities to improve the quality of the work packages.
  • Perform proper and timely preparation and staging of instrumentation maintenance work activities.
  • Attend pre and post job briefings and oversee maintenance teams performing tasks to ensure alignment with standards.
  • Conduct periodic and surveillance tests to confirm efficient plant instrumentation system performance.
  • Review equipment master list and requests to incorporate in Operation Management System (OMS) to improve knowledge of the implemented programs.
  • Implement foreign material exclusion (FME) program in accordance with the program requirements and guidelines.
  • Utilize the Corrective Action Program (CAP) to identify plant deficiencies and improve performance.
  • Support in the production of high standard self assessments to provide for useful self criticality and continuous improvement.
  • Execute troubleshooting process on I&C systems and equipment to resolve the issues on time.
  • Comply with maintenance code of conduct procedures and guidelines to ensure the safety and reliability of the plant.

Eligibility Criteria?

Qualification

  • Essential: High school certification.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in electronic or electrical engineering.

Experience

  • 2 years of relevant experience in similar role.
