Fakeeh University Hospital is actively seeking a passionate and competent Nurse ICU to join their team in Dubai, UAE. This opportunity was announced by the hospital on December 14, 2023 and applications are now being accepted. The Registered Nurse is responsible in Assessment, Management and Provision of Quality Nursing Care to all patients. She / he will be an active member of the multidisciplinary team and collaborate in the development, execution, and evaluation of the multidisciplinary plan of care or critical pathway.

Responsibilities of Nurse ICU

• Demonstrates cooperation, coordination and respect among individuals in order to provide excellent customer service (internal and external).
• Collaborates with multi disciplinary team to provide patient care.
• Demonstrates problem solving / critical thinking skills, ensure effective functioning of unit routine.
• Participates in staff meetings and unit committees / projects.
• Participates in developing and achieving unit goals.
• Performs extra duties when required.
• Demonstrates skill in coordination and planning of critical care pathway and prioritizing care, based on individual needs.
• Demonstrates skills in critical care assessment of patient, family physical and psychological needs.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and the ability to render care and services based on needs, age appropriateness and developmental stage of patients.
• Assists medical colleagues with diagnostic therapeutic interventions.
• Performs nursing procedures in accord with established standards of care and policy and procedures.
• Maintains correct documentation following settled standards.
• Shares knowledge & skills with colleagues and others.
• Maintains commitment to professional development of self through completion of unit competencies i.e. pain management, usage of auto transfusion devices.
• Maintains a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Actively take part in unit based CQI activities (data collection, CQI teams, etc).
• Serves if required on hospital wide CQI
• Participates in ongoing educational activities.
• Maintains mandatory educational needs.
• Contributes to professional development of colleagues.

Role Requirements

To qualify for the role of  Nurse ICU (Intensive Care Unit), you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Bachelors in Nursing or Equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of continuous nursing experience in UAE or from home country.
• MUST have 2 years of experience in ICU Department.
• BLS / ACLS
