Hospitalist Medical Surgical King’s College Hospital London Dubai

King’s College Hospital London UAE is seeking a qualified Hospitalist Medical Surgical to join their global team in Dubai. This position will provide comprehensive in-patient care for medical and surgical patients in King’s College Hospital- Dubai. The post-holder will be responsible for managing a caseload which includes a wide range of medical and surgical health conditions within hospital facilities. 

Clinical Accountabilities of Hospitalist Medical Surgical

• Investigate and manage patients attending and admitted to King’s College Hospital- Dubai, under the supervision of the consultant physician/surgeon, across a range of specialties.
• Diagnose and treat patients according to established standards of best practice.
• Review the results of all investigations in a timely fashion and modify treatment as required.
• Liaise with senior clinicians with regard to decision making for in-patient care including carrying out post-operative care plans.
• Comply with the established King’s College Hospital- Dubai practices regarding outpatient consultations, day care, inpatient and discharge protocols, and follow up.
• Comply with the requirements of the regulatory UAE medical health authorities with respect to all professional practices.
• Perform necessary ward based interventional procedures. Ensure consent has been obtained for such procedures where appropriate.
• Communicate with the consultant in charge regarding day to day clinical management decisions. In particular liaise with senior medical staff regarding management of the deteriorating patient.
• Accurately document all relevant patient information in a clear and timely fashion in accordance with King’s College Hospital- Dubai health record keeping policy.
• Communicate medical information to patients and the patients’ families.
• Liaise with other medical, surgical, and anaesthetic specialities and professional support services for additional input as required.
• Assist in the triage and medical admission of patients referred from other speciality Medical Centres, walk-in patients and patients referred from other hospitals.
• Work effectively and efficiently within the team structure of the King’s College Hospital- Dubai treatment centre.
• Maintain a good working relationship with other members of staff, promoting collaboration and adopting a team-based approach to patient care.

Qualification & Experience

Following are the requirements for the role of Hospitalist Medical Surgical at King’s College Hospital London – UAE:

• MD or MBBS/MBChB.
• UAE Medical Health Authority License.
• Completion of internship or similar & 2 years post-graduation experience.
• Resuscitation as per the specialty.
• Has worked in hospital or similar setting for at least 3 years.
