Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver football training sessions for students of different ages and ability levels. Focus on developing technical skills, tactical awareness, and physical fitness.
• Coach school football teams during training sessions and competitive matches. Support students in local leagues and tournaments.
• Work closely with the Director of Sport to align coaching with the College’s Character Development Activities programme. Emphasise values such as resilience, discipline, teamwork, and confidence.
• Create a positive, inclusive environment where every student feels encouraged to participate and improve. Adapt sessions to meet individual needs.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback. Maintain attendance records and communicate with the PE department about team selections and fixtures.
• Contribute to the wider life of the Dubai College community by attending sports events, supporting enrichment activities, and promoting a love for football. Finally, ensure all safeguarding and child protection policies are followed at all times.

Qualifications

You need a recognized football coaching qualification such as FA Level 2 or equivalent. Proven experience coaching children and young people in a school or club setting is essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to work with students, parents, and colleagues. You should have a good understanding of age appropriate coaching methods and the ability to inspire players of all abilities. First aid certification is desirable. Candidates must be willing to undergo child protection screening including police checks from any country of residence in the past five years.
